Responsibilities
- Deliver competency-based education that aligns with CHCP's curriculum model and system delivery standards
- Develop and execute instructional plans for both residential and blended learning environments to meet course objectives and competencies
- Facilitate student achievement of exit competencies through effective instruction and evaluation methods
- Establish and maintain a learning-centered classroom environment conducive to student engagement and success
- Provide timely and comprehensive feedback to students, particularly at critical evaluation points such as mid-term assessments
- Demonstrate flexibility in teaching style and schedule to accommodate diverse student needs and promote success
- Maintain accurate records, including attendance, grades, and reports, ensuring compliance with academic policies
- Participate actively in faculty meetings, departmental initiatives, and campus-wide projects
- Contribute to curriculum development by incorporating industry trends and professional experiences into course content
- Attend Program Advisory Committee meetings annually to provide insights and recommendations for program improvement
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with industry standards and advancements
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the academic mission
Qualifications
- Current registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy or National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA)
- Minimum of 4 years of in-field experience in pharmacy practice
- At least 2 years of experience in hospital settings and sterile compounding
- ACPE IV/Sterile Compounding Certification (preferred)
- Graduate of a pharmacy technician program; teaching experience is a plus but not required
