Job summary

Froedtert Health is seeking Pharmacy Technicians for Inpatient/Outpatient roles across multiple locations in Wisconsin. As a technician, you will assist pharmacists with medication processing and help train new staff. Ideal candidates should have a high school diploma, pharmacy technician training, and certification within 6 months.

Experience in hospital or community pharmacy settings is preferred. This part-time role offers the opportunity to contribute to various shifts and be part of a dedicated pharmacy team.

Qualifications

Summary for Pharm Tech I

Provides technical and clerical assistance to the pharmacist in the processing of medication orders and the monitoring of drug therapy.

May procure measure compound count and deliver medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.

Functions within the guidelines of the Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code - Pharmacy Examining Board - Pharmacy Practice Sections.

Other duties as assigned

Summary for Pharm Tech II

• Following established policies and procedures under the direct supervision of a pharmacist prepares and distributes medication and performs functions essential to the operations of the pharmacy department.
• Participates in training new staff.
• Functions within the guidelines of the Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code - Pharmacy Examining Board - Pharmacy Practice Sections. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred.
• A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program is preferred.
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Boards exam (PTCE) or the National Healthcareer Associations exam (ExCPT) is required within 6 months of hire.
• A minimum of 2 years work experience in a hospital pharmacy department is preferred.
• For decentralized technicians - a minimum of 2 years work experience in an outpatient/community pharmacy is preferred.
