Job summary

Park Nicollet is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to join our Methodist Hospital Pharmacy team. Under direct supervision of a Pharmacist, assists in timely and accurate dispensing of medications to patients in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

Work Schedule: 1.0 FTE, Day/Eve rotating, every other weekend, 3 holidays per year. Certifications for Pharmacy Technicians (CPhT via PTCB or ExCPT) or Non-Certified technicians with Minnesota Board registration are considered.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician: CPhT through PTCB or ExCPT.
• Non-Certified Technician: Must be registered with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision of a Pharmacist, assists in timely and accurate dispensing of medications to patients.
• Per state and federal guidelines, assists in dispensing sterile and non-sterile medications.

Under direct supervision of a Pharmacist, assists in the timely and accurate dispensing of sterile hazardous and non-hazardous medications to patients in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

Work Schedule:

Available Shifts:

• 1.0 FTE
• Day/Eve rotating, with every other weekend on.
• 3 holidays per year

Required Qualifications:

We are open to filling this position with a Certified or Non-Certified technician. Requirements for each are outlined below:

Certified Pharmacy Technician:

• Must be registered with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Technician certification required. Certification as CPhT through either the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT).

Non-Certified Technician:

• Must be registered with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician

Preferred Qualifications:

• One or more recent years Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
