Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Huntersville, NC, for a full-time, 40-hour week on a Mon-Fri day shift. You will assist pharmacists, prep and label medications, manage inventory, and support operations in a Hospital Infusion setting.

The ideal candidate holds a High School Diploma or GED, may require CPhT within 18 months, and may have IV experience. The role involves patient data entry, insurance verification, and safe handling of medications in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Registration or licensure with state board of pharmacy per state of employment requirements.
• CPhT certification within 18 months from start date.
• IV experience preferred.
• No work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist in technical duties related to preparation and distribution of medications.
• Select, prepare, and label medications for patients, including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assist with medication distribution tasks and inventory control.
• Screen calls and route messages using proper etiquette.
• Record and manage documentation for controlled substances as applicable.
• Perform nonsterile compounding following USP standards; perform sterile IV admixture as defined.
