Job description

Job Overview:

The IV Pharmacy Technician assists in providing pharmaceutical services under the supervision of a registered Pharmacist. Responsibilities include performing technical, clerical, and manipulative tasks such as mixing sterile products in a clean room, including chemotherapy, dispensing, preparing, and distributing medications for all patient age groups (geriatrics, adults, adolescents, pediatric, and neonatal). The role requires working in a fast-paced pharmacy environment with strong multitasking skills. Work and performance must conform to established policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred:

• IV Certified pharmacy technician preferred.
• One year of IV pharmacy experience preferred.

Certifications and Licenses:

Required:

• New Jersey Pharmacy Technician Registration, or obtained within six months of employment.

Scheduling Requirements:

• Full-time, Day shifts.
• Availability to work on weekends and/or weekdays.
