Job summary

Soliant is seeking a Travel Night Pharmacy Technician to support a healthcare facility in Gardena, CA. The contract role features a 10-hour night shift from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a 5 on / 5 off schedule and an 8–13 week assignment.

Responsibilities include filling Pyxis cabinets, preparing IV medications (including IVPBs and TPNs), delivering medications, and using Allscripts or Paragon order entry systems. Inpatient pharmacy experience is required.

Qualifications

Job description

An opportunity is available for a Travel Night Pharmacy Technician to support a healthcare facility in Gardena, CA. This contract role offers a unique schedule of 5 days on followed by 5 days off, working 10-hour night shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The assignment duration ranges between 8 to 13 weeks.

Key Responsibilities

• Filling and maintaining Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets
• Preparing intravenous (IV) medications, including IVPBs (IV piggybacks) and TPNs (total parenteral nutrition)
• Answering telephones and communicating effectively with nursing units
• Delivering medications throughout the facility
• Utilizing Allscripts/Paragon order entry systems efficiently

Qualifications / Desired Experience

• Previous inpatient pharmacy technician experience is required
• Skilled in IV admixture preparation
• Proficient in filling Pyxis automated dispensing units
• Experience working night shifts in a hospital or similar setting
• Familiarity with healthcare software systems such as Allscripts or Paragon is preferred
• Ability to work independently and in fast-paced environments
