Job summary

Family and Children’s Services in the OKC/Norman area is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in safe medication delivery and patient care. The technician will rotate among 10 stations, process prescriptions, handle insurance communications, and maintain accurate documentation under established policies.

Strong communication, problem solving, and attention to detail are essential, along with delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment near Norman/OKC.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or have HS equivalent.
• Must have completed a pharmacy technician on-the-job training program described by OSBP.
• Must meet Oklahoma Pharmacy Technician permit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Communicates effectively with nursing staff regarding prior authorizations and quantity limit overrides.
• Answers phone promptly and maintains workflow with friendly tone.
• Enters data from prescriptions accurately and dispenses under pharmacist supervision.
• Resolves insurance rejections to ensure proper billing and access to medications.
• Delivers excellent customer service and maintains confidentiality.
