Job summary

CVS Health in New Jersey is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy team, ensuring safe and accurate prescription fulfillment and compassionate customer service. You’ll follow SOPs, assist with vaccines when allowed by law, handle inventory, and work across the market as needed to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
• Ability to work in the home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to help pharmacists manage and improve patient health.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care.
• Complete basic inventory activities and cycle counts as directed by the leadership team.
• Expand clinical and technical knowledge to better assist patients.
• Be flexible with scheduling and travel to stores as needed by the business.
• Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and CVS policies to protect patient safety and privacy.
• Deliver additional health services where allowed by law.
• Obtain required licensure/training for Technician Immunizer status to support vaccines.
• Educate patients about vaccines and refer to the Pharmacist-on-duty.
• Monitor for adverse reactions and report as required.
• Review and document patient information; track for each patient.
• Monitor and manage vaccine supplies.
