Summary
Under the direction of a staff pharmacist and/or pharmacy leadership team, the Certified Pharmacy Technician III performs advanced technical and operational duties to support safe, timely pharmacy services and medication distribution in compliance with departmental procedures and applicable state and federal regulations. The technician prepares, packages, labels, and distributes medications and supplies; supports inventory control and storage standards; documents work in pharmacy information systems; completes quality/safety checks (including storage audits) and escalates discrepancies; and handles controlled substances per policy. The role also monitors daily operations for process compliance and supports onboarding and technical training, including site‑specific documentation and competency tracking.
