Job summary

Griffin Memorial Hospital, part of the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, seeks a Pharmacy Technician III to support the Pharmacy Services Department. You will assist in filling prescriptions, counting pills, typing labels, and distributing medications to nursing stations under supervision.

The role requires three years of pharmacy clerk experience and a valid Oklahoma pharmacy technician permit or recognized certification; includes full-time 12-hour shifts, non-exempt

Qualifications

• Three years of experience as a pharmacy clerk and possession of a pharmacy technician permit issued by the Oklahoma Board of Pharmacy and/or other recognized pharmacy technician certification board as required by the hiring entity.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience with thirty semester hours substituted for each year of required experience.

Responsibilities

• Assisting pharmacist in filling prescriptions and counting pills; uses electronic pill counter.
• Receiving and completing inventory reports for medical and surgical supplies requisitioned.
• Typing labels and posting all information on appropriate records.
• Distributing filled and labeled prescriptions to nursing stations.
