Job summary

AdventHealth Riverview, FL is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support medication-use processes and compliance initiatives. You will collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and other clinicians to ensure continuity of pharmacy services across shifts.

Responsibilities include audits, reporting, onboarding, and competency validation, with opportunities to mentor staff and contribute to patient safety and operational readiness.

Qualifications

  • High School Grad or Equiv required.
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) required.
  • 1+ years of hospital pharmacy experience required.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
  • Ability to read, write and speak conversational English required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required.

Job Description:
  • Leads or contributes to compliance audits, documentation, and medication-use process improvement initiatives.
  • Prepares reports, assists with compliance documentation, and supports operational accountability, transparency, and readiness for regulatory inspections and accreditation surveys.

  • Knowledge and competence in the medication reconciliation process (if applicable) [Preferred]
Education:
  • Technical/Vocational School [Preferred]
  • High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
Field of Study:
  • Completion of a pharmacy technician training program [Preferred]
Work Experience:
  • 1+ years of contemporary hospital pharmacy experience, retail or ambulatory experience [Required]
