Job summary

Hannaford is seeking a Pharmacy Clerk/Assistant at the Windham, ME location to greet customers, assist pharmacists, and maintain records. You will help prepare prescriptions, manage inventory, and ensure timely service while upholding privacy and compliance with state/federal laws.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and drug testing completed as required.
• Maintain current national certification and state license as required.
• Maintain advanced certifications (e.g., immunizer) and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Help pharmacists prepare prescriptions with accurate data entry and labeling.
• Ensure customers receive prescriptions in a timely manner.
• Maintain pharmacy records per Standard Practice and law.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.
• Help customers locate over-the-counter items.
• Follow attendance and paid time off policies.
• Coordinate and assist with scheduling.
• Understand and adhere to state and federal laws and regulations.
• Assist in maintaining pharmacy inventory and stock management.
• Support physical inventory procedures and variance reporting.
• Review and understand ACIS reports.
• Assist in third-party audits as needed.
• Contribute to department cleanliness and appearance.
• Order pharmacy department supplies and manage returns.
• Adhere to company policies and dress code.
• Maintain neat appearance and safety standards.
• Support safety, identify equipment repairs, and keep area clear.
• Collaborate with store leadership on scheduling and duties.
• Train other department associates in pharmacy operations.
• Support initiatives to grow pharmacy business.
