Responsibilities

• Interact with internal and external staff to promote the hospital’s mission and vision.
• Assist Pharmacist in filling medication orders according to policy and procedures.
• Deliver medications.
• Responsible for mixing non-hazardous IV medications, including TPNs (sterile compounding position).
• Responsible for mixing hazardous IV medications, decontaminating hazardous spaces, and maintaining hazardous drug inventory on >50% of their worked days (sterile compounding position).
• Perform required record keeping.
• Responsible for dispensing medication in an accurate and efficient manner.
• Perform monthly review of inventory for out of date medications.
• Compliance with all USP 797 and 800 guidelines (sterile compounding position).
• Responsible for monitory medication inventory levels.
• Responsible for notifying appropriate personnel of supply needs.
• Responsible for daily restocking of medications.
• Routine interaction with departmental staff and supervisor to provided improvements to the medication process.
