Job summary
SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to provide frontline support at the pharmacy window and assist pharmacists with dispensing, labeling, and medication retrieval in Southeast Alaska. You will handle inventory, operate dispensing robot, maintain compliance and documentation, and communicate with patients and providers.
A Alaska Pharmacy Technician license and national certification are required, with clinical competency within 3 months of hire.
Qualifications
- Alaska Pharmacy Technician license required.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification required.
- Clinical and High Risk Competency within 3 months of hire.
- Minimum five years in hospital, ambulatory clinic, or retail pharmacy.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists by retrieving meds, counting, and labeling under supervision.
- Refill and clean dispensing robot and counting devices daily.
- Maintain stock and restock medications and supplies.
- Enter and verify medication orders in the pharmacy computer system.
- Distribute meds to patient care areas and assist customers at the window.
- Support medication adjudication and resolve billing rejections with pharmacists.
- Keep equipment clean, organized, and logs updated.
