HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern to work under the direct supervision of the pharmacist. The role prepares IV admixtures, fills hospital medication orders, restocks medications in the IV and dispensing areas, handles nurse and customer phone inquiries, and supports inventory control for safe care.
Additional duties include repackaging medications, processing charges and credits, and ensuring timely delivery of medications.
Under direct supervision of the pharmacist, this position prepares IV admixtures and fills medication orders for hospital patients, maintains adequate supply of medications in the IV and dispensing areas, handles phone inquiries from nurses or other customers, provides routine and/or stat delivery of IVs or medications, restocks medications to automated Pyxis machines, processes used crash cart medication drawers, anesthesia-related medication orders, processes medication charges and credits, repackages medications into unit dose packages, and assists in inventory control and maintenance in a safe and efficient manner.
