Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; at least 6 months of pharmacy technician experience.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English; strong math/calculator skills and metric knowledge.
• Experience with office software and keyboarding; attention to detail; ability to work in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical care and distribute medications accurately.
• Label, package, and safely compound medications including hazardous substances.
• Handle and distribute controlled substances per regulations and department policies.
• Assist with training new staff and maintaining medication inventories and billing.
