Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in dispensing medications, entering patient data, and maintaining a safe, efficient workflow. You will ensure medication safety, assist patients, and help with inventory and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Ideal candidates have strong pharmacy terminology knowledge, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED at hire.
• 6 months compounding of IV medication.
• WA Pharmacy Technician license upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, dispense and deliver medications per policy and regulatory requirements.
• Perform clerical tasks supporting daily department operations.
• Maintain proper medication and supply stock levels.
• Operate automated medication delivery systems and devices.
• Document quality assurance activities and participate in QA programs.
• IV admixture training and handling, including hazardous/chemotherapy if applicable.
