Job description

The County of Riverside - Riverside University Health System (RUHS)-Medical Center is seeking to fill a Pharmacy Technician II-Per Diem position for the Procurement Unit, located in Moreno Valley.

Under the direction of pharmacist staff, incumbents are responsible for assisting in the preparation and distribution of medications and performing related duties as required.

This role is the journey level in the Pharmacy Technician series. Under supervision, technicians handle most medication distribution and processing of prescriptions and medication orders.

Other essential duties include but are not limited to:

1. Ordering medications and supplies.
2. Storing medications upon delivery.
3. Reconciling invoices.

Work Schedule: To be discussed during interview.

Salary Range: $29.07/hour; $5,038.98/month; $60,467.72/year.

• Processing new prescriptions and medication orders.
• Prefilling prescriptions and medication orders.
• Using sterile technique to compound IVs, TPNs, and chemotherapy agents as needed.

• Assisting in inventory control.
• Collaborating with hospital staff to ensure a cooperative work environment.

  Experience: At least one year as a Pharmacy Technician in healthcare or community pharmacy.

  Education: Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training course compliant with California State Board of Pharmacy licensing requirements.

  License/Certificate: Valid registration as a Pharmacy Technician issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
