This role requires state licensure or Meijer training if licensure is not required, with emphasis on accurate data entry, insurance claims adjudication, and teamwork in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

• High School or GED completed.
• Registered and/or licensed as required in the state.
• Experience in Retail/Community Pharmacy settings.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Positive attitude and reliability.
• Typing speed and accuracy are important.
• Neat handwriting and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work with a team.
• Good attendance record.
• Basic math skills for handling prescriptions.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients at various service points.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
• Enter customer and prescription information in the dispensing system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Retrieve medications from inventory.
• Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving orders.
• Order prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stock prescription medications.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the pharmacy.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Licensed in the required state or complete Meijer training if licensure not required.
