Job summary

Mercy St. Louis Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to support pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications. The technician works under the supervising pharmacist to ensure patient safety and comply with federal, state, and local regulations.

This full-time role offers a structured orientation, opportunities for professional growth, and a team-focused environment at Mercy's retail pharmacy locations. Missouri-licensed or eligible, 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalence exam.
• Licensure: Actively registered, in good standing, with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or willing to submit application for registration by first day of work. This includes submitting fingerprints for FBI background check.
• Experience: 1-year relevant pharmacy experience preferred but not required.
• Other: Successfully complete pharmacy department orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications.
• Follow applicable standards and federal, state & local laws and regulations for the care and safety of customers and patients.
• Provide support to the supervising pharmacist to ensure patient safety and accurate dispensing.
