Under direct supervision, assists in dispensing prescriptions, counts, packages, labels prescription vials, greets patients, and performs administrative tasks. Transcribes verbal prescriptions and prepares compounded products. Lahey offers up to $5,000 signing bonus, paid in two installments. Full-time is ≥30 hours/week; part-time 20-29 hours/week. Per diem employees are not eligible.
Eligibility includes current/former BILH candidates, with restrictions. Leaving before one year requires repayment of the bonus. Bonuses are subject to change.
**Job Description:**
Performs duties of outpatient pharmacy tech I, transcribes prescriptions, handles advanced register functions, prepares compounded products, and adheres to policies and standards. Participates in quality improvement and mandatory education.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
High School Diploma or GED. Massachusetts Registered Pharmacy Technician and National Certification (within 6 months for new hires).
At least one year of hospital or retail experience. Ability to follow instructions, use PC systems, and verify prescriptions.
All staff must be vaccinated against influenza and COVID-19.
