Position Overview

This role involves providing distributive pharmacy services, assistance, and support for registered pharmacists. Shifts are 7 days on, 7 days off.

Responsibilities

1. Process medication orders, including computer entry, preparation, and assembly prior to pharmacist review. (25%)
2. Maintain pharmacy inventory and supplies according to policies, including inspections and computer system use. (25%)
3. Provide customer service by processing prescriptions, documenting information, and handling customer interactions courteously. (25%)
4. For Outpatient Techs: Validate insurance coverage, handle cash, prepare deposits, and accounting reports. (25%)
5. For Inpatient Techs: Compound, stock, repackage medications, and prepare IV orders including compounding and labeling. (25%)
6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or ExCPT from NHA. Incumbents as of July 1, 2022, must achieve CPhT by 1/1/2024.
• Completion of a pharmacy technician training program or 1 year of equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of pharmacy experience in the relevant area.

Additional Information

This position is eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus with a 1-year commitment. The role is full-time, entry-level, and within the healthcare provider industry.
