The role you’ll contribute:
The primary responsibility is providing medication distributive functions and pharmacy operational tasks, including assisting the pharmacist with preparing and dispensing medications, inventory management, and regulatory compliance. Under supervision, performs duties necessary for effective daily operations, such as compounding, dispensing, charging, and delivering medications. Responds accurately to medication requests, prepares medications for final review, delivers checked medications, and manages unused or expired medications. Prepares sterile products like IV solutions, piggyback containers, irrigations, TPNs, prefilled syringes, and reconstitutes medications aseptically. Keeps work areas and equipment clean. Performs clerical and specialized duties, and helps train new pharmacy technicians. Maintains accurate inventory and records, assists with large-volume IV solutions, and performs front reception duties. Serves neonatal, pediatric, adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients. Supports specialty pharmacy services and promotes organized pharmacy operations, ensuring outstanding customer service and respectful relationships.
