Job summary

Riverside University Health System (RUHS) is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II for the MSC Retail Pharmacy in Moreno Valley. This journey-level role supports pharmacists by preparing and distributing medications and processing prescriptions under supervision.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of pharmacy tech experience in healthcare or community settings; bilingual ability is a plus but not required. Regular 4/10 schedule applies with some weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a healthcare facility or community pharmacy.
• Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training course in accordance with the California State Board of Pharmacy licensing requirements.
• Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a Pharmacy Technician issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Process new prescriptions and/or medication orders.
• Prefill prescriptions/medication orders.
• File prescriptions/medication orders as needed.
• Process billing.
• Assist in control of the inventory.
• Work with other members of the clinic to ensure a cooperative work environment.
• Assist in the training and education of pharmacy technician students and pharmacist interns.
• Provide input and guidance to management and staff as needed.
• Work on other projects as assigned or as pertains to the pharmacy area.
