Job summary

MGA Homecare is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists with medication preparation and accurate entry into pharmacy systems. You will prepare and package medications for delivery to long-term care facilities, support automated dispensing, and maintain organized inventory while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities include handling prescription data, maintaining documentation, and providing respectful customer service to facilities and internal staff.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Colorado.
• Ability to maintain active licensure and comply with regulations.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn pharmacy software.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, filling, labeling, and packaging.
• Enter prescription and patient information into pharmacy software.
• Prepare and package medications for delivery to long-term care facilities.
• Support unit-dose, blister pack, and automated dispensing processes.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation per regulations.
• Receive, stock, rotate, and organize medication inventory.
• Process medication returns, credits, and expired medications per policy.
• Answer calls and provide basic customer service to facilities and staff.
• Assist with order prioritization to meet delivery deadlines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and protect patient confidentiality.
