Job summary

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Tech II requires NC Board registration and PTCB/ExCPT certification.
• Tech I requires high school diploma/equivalent and accredited training or acceptance into pharmacy school.
• Pharmacy Tech II requires at least 1 year of related experience.
• Sterile compounding or clean room experience preferred.
• Follows USP 797/800 guidelines and HIPAA/ privacy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist Operations Pharmacist and IV Lead Technician to maximize efficiency.
• Pre-checks compounding materials and verifies labeling content.
• Performs sterile compounding and cytotoxic drug preparation per guidelines.
• Restocks IV room areas and maintains cleanroom per USP standards.
• Records temperatures and humidity; communicates deviations promptly.
• Precepts new technicians and supports training and competency.

Education

Pharmacy Tech II: NC Board of Pharmacy registration and PTCB/ExCPT certification

Pharmacy Tech I: High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited program or acceptance into pharmacy school
