Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II-Certified to join our hospital float pool, supporting multiple Winston-Salem facilities. You will deliver medications, perform sterile/non-sterile compounding, and assist with IV admixtures as needed.

The role requires strong mathematical ability, state registration, and current certification within 60 days. Travel across market facilities is expected to cover 32 hours weekly with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, required; 2 year/associate degree preferred.
• Acute: two pharmacy skills required; possible progression from Technician 1.
• Outpatient Oncology: two years in any setting with one year sterile compounding.
• Specialty Pharmacy: two years in any setting with one year in specialty setting.
• State board registry required; PTCB/NHA within 60 days; specialist certification within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Filling and delivering medication orders for all ages under pharmacist supervision.
• Non-sterile compounding and repackaging.
• Answering and screening calls; refer to pharmacist when appropriate.
• Processing cart fills and refills to automated dispensing machines.
• Replenishments to emergency kits and carts.
• Demonstrating proficiency with equipment and software.
• Collecting medication histories from patients; sterile admixtures as needed.
