Job summary

Mercy Pharmacy Jefferson is seeking Pharmacy Technician IIIs who assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications. The role supports patient safety under the supervising pharmacist in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalence required.
• Active Missouri Board of Pharmacy registration as a Pharmacy Technician or willing to submit by first day of work (fingerprints for FBI background check).
• CPhT certification by PTCB required for Tech II/III positions; one year of relevant pharmacy experience preferred for Tech II; three years for Tech III.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications.
• Follow federal, state, and local laws and regulations for safety and care of customers.
• Complete pharmacy department orientation and maintain compliance with policies.

Education

Missouri Board of Pharmacy registration (pharmacy technician)

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by PTCB
