AdventHealth Altamonte Springs is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to support hospital-based medication dispensing, sterile compounding, and regulatory compliance under pharmacist supervision.

The role covers central and decentralized operations, ADC management, and cleanroom prep; you will ensure correct drug, dose, expiration, and barcode scanning while maintaining safety and inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of contemporary hospital pharmacy experience, retail or ambulatory experience.
• Active State Pharmacy Technician registration required.

Responsibilities

• Executes core pharmacy technician duties under pharmacist supervision.
• Dispenses meds, prepares, inventories, sterile compounding, controlled substances handling, and regulatory compliance.
• Supports central/distributive operations, ADC management, and cleanroom compounding as assigned.
• Prepares and safely dispenses patient-specific medication doses with correct drug, dose, expiration dating, and barcode scanning.
• Maintains inventory accuracy, receives and rotates stock, removes expired meds, and manages controlled substances.
• Operates and troubleshoots medication automation systems and pharmacy software; interprets electronic health records to support safe medication practices.
• Participates in quality improvement, training, and mentorship of peers.
