Qualificações

Position Overview

Pharmacy Technician II – Clinical Services at our Wilson Community Health Center supports comprehensive clinical pharmacy and enabling services. Responsibilities include medication therapy management, medication adherence clinic, value‑based model appointments, Medicare Part D counseling, and dispensing pharmacy duties as needed. The technician maintains accuracy, communicates with patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals in an ambulatory clinic/pharmacy setting.

Essential Tasks

• Enter prescriptions, prepare medications, and provide customer service in in‑house pharmacies.
• Phoned contacts with patients for clinical pharmacy and enabling services, including appointment scheduling, medication list reconciliation, and education about services.
• Identify appropriate patients through online databases and wait lists with the Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services.
• Maintain appointment schedules, send reminders, and manage no‑show appointments with rescheduling attempts.
• Support pharmacists by entering data into computer‑ or web‑based systems for documentation and data collection.
• Conduct preliminary patient interviews during appointments.

Experience and Education

• High school diploma or GED.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (required).
• Computer literacy.
• Self‑directed with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort interacting with medical providers, pharmacists, pharmacy staff, and patients.
• Previous pharmacy work experience (required).
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license; travel required to all Carolina Family Health locations.
• Within 6 months of hire, become a trained Medicare counselor through the North Carolina Department of Insurance Seniors’ Health Insurance Information Program.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., 8‑hour shift, day shift.

Physical Requirements

• Constant standing and walking; occasional bending, stooping, lifting, and reaching overhead.
• May occasionally lift patients, office equipment, and paper, usually not exceeding 50 pounds.
• Frequent computer work required.
