An established industry player is seeking a dedicated pharmacy technician to assist in pharmaceutical preparation and distribution. POSITION SUMMARY:
To assist the pharmacist in pharmaceutical preparation, distribution, and record keeping functions of pharmaceutical supplies and perform a variety of technical pharmacy services in the Department, designated satellites, and service and patient care areas.
EDUCATION:
High School diploma or equivalent. College courses preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Two to three years pharmacy technician experience preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Must possess or be eligible for pharmacy technician registration. Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods. Ability to work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff. Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule. Ability to set priorities and solve problems. Ability to respond quickly to emergency requests. Effective communication skills (orally and in writing). Ability to assist in meeting the pharmaceutical care needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
