DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

What does it mean to be a Certified Pharmacy Technician?

  1. You can personalize the customer experience by using your skills and product knowledge to problem solve and offer solutions that meet or exceed customers’ expectations.
  2. You will be working alongside pharmacists, who allow you to assist with filling and processing prescriptions, while learning from and leaning on their expert knowledge and experience.
  3. Support the pharmacy by performing clerical functions such as filling, organizing, etc.
  4. Oh, and of course, it’s retail – things are constantly changing. Part of what makes us so great is our ability to quickly change to meet our customers’ needs. We may ask you to perform other job functions as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

To do all that I probably need a college education right? What you need is..

  1. Current national certification with up to date CE requirements.
  2. Strong communication, customer service, and time-management skills.
  3. High levels of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
  4. Effective interpersonal skills and desire to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
  5. Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  6. Must pass a criminal background check.
  7. Must meet minimum age and educational requirements.
  8. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Physical Requirements

What physical requirements are there?

  1. You will be standing and using a computer, keyboard etc. for extended periods of the time.
  2. Frequent bending at the knees and waist.
  3. Use hands frequently, often involving fine motor skills; frequent/continuous reaching, lifting and carrying up to 20lbs at waist or shoulder level.
  4. Visual acuity and audio capacity to process prescriptions and service customers.
