Cencora's Reading Hospital Ambulatory Pharmacy seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support ambulatory operations in a 24/7, high-volume setting. You will create patient profiles, process prescription plans, handle insurance issues, and assist with dispensing and inventory tasks.
The role requires 2+ years of ambulatory pharmacy experience, PA technician licensure, and national certification like PTCB; bachelor's degree preferred.
Our team members are at the heart of everything we do. At Cencora, we manage and have staffed the Reading Hospital Ambulatory Pharmacy inside the 700 bed Reading Hospital since 2017 and have expanded services to 6 locations over the years. The pharmacy is a 24/7 operation. Shifts are typically 8 to 10 hours and will be scheduled in the 7 a‑9 p time frames. Rotating weekends and holidays. Full time, 40 hours per week. Occasional shifts at other Reading Hospital Retail Pharmacy locations.
Normally requires a minimum of two (2) years directly related and progressively responsible ambulatory pharmacy experience; bachelor's degree program preferred.
Pharmacy technician certification with a national technical certification organization, such as Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or other comparable national certification required.
State pharmacy certification is acceptable if core competencies are equal to or better than national certification requirements.
PA Registered Pharmacy Technician license or Pharmacy Technician Trainee license is required. For further information, please consult the state board of Pharmacy.
