Endeavor Health's Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to assist pharmacists with dispensing and filling prescriptions. The role includes entering prescriptions, labeling, inventory tasks, and supporting day-to-day operations in a hospital setting.

The ideal candidate holds an Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician license (IDFPR) and a current PTCB CPhT certification, with hospital experience preferred and evening shifts 3pm–11:30pm, rotating

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician licensed in Illinois (IDFPR) required.
• Current CPhT (PTCB) certification required.
• 1 year hospital-based technician trainee experience preferred.
• RPHT license preferred or required depending on state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, fills and labels medications for pharmacist authorization.
• Prepare unit doses and load automated medication station promptly.
• Conduct rounds to nursing units and prepare meds for transport.
• Assist inventory management and maintain pharmacy organization.
• Support end-of-day closing and deposit procedures.

The Pharmacy Technician duties include, but are not limited to, entering prescriptions in the computer, filing prescriptions, ordering medications and over the counter items, calling third party insurance providers, and aiding the pharmacist in the day-to-day operations.
