Summary: The Pharmacy Technician I, under the supervision and direction of a licensed pharmacist, performs drug distribution activities including: delivery of medications to patient care and procedural areas, preparing & labeling unit dose medications, preparing parenteral compounded sterile preparations, restocking automated dispensing cabinets, and assisting with basic medication inventory maintenance. They provide professional and courteous service by answering and triaging phone calls and responding to medication requests from nursing and outside customers.

REQUIRED:

• 0 - 3 years of Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Certified Pharmacy Technician experience

PREFERRED:

• 1+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician in an acute care environment
