Responsibilities
  • Develop competence in dispensing and delivery of medications, including use of information systems, technology, and automation.
  • Prepare non-sterile products following USP, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Enter medication orders and process medication requests via the computer system.
  • Manage phone calls from customers and team members, ensuring accurate understanding and timely resolution or hand-off.
  • Follow pharmacy procedures and documentation to meet legal, regulatory, and departmental standards.
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards such as controlled substance procedures, USP, and DNV requirements.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required: Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or the National Healthcare Association, to be obtained within 2 years.
