Job Summary: Works as a member of the Production Team in the Central Cleanroom under the direction of a pharmacist and in coordination with the other technicians. Activities include intravenous admixture preparation (small and large volume parenteral admixtures), Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) solutions using proper aseptic technique, inventory management, delivery of medications, and attending periodic area meetings.

Position Highlights:

• PRN
• Schedule: Variable shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• Location: Winston Campus
• $6,000 sign-on bonus eligible for qualified candidates

Impact on Patient Care: Your responsibilities may include assisting pharmacists with medication orders, organizing daily tasks, maintaining medicine stock quality, providing pharmacy services in patient care areas, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and adhering to hospital standards for a positive work environment. Providing age-specific care as per guidelines is also essential.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

• Diploma or Associate Degree in Pharmacy Technology
• Sterile compounding experience
• One-year pharmacy experience
• PTCB technician certification (CPhT)
• North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration within 30 days of employment
• PTCB/NHA certification or enrollment in an accredited pharmacy program within specified timeframes
