How You’ll Impact Patient Care:

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting pharmacists in preparing and processing medication orders to ensure timely delivery and accurate billing.
  • Organizing daily tasks efficiently and collaborating effectively with team members.
  • Maintaining medication stock in good condition to ensure quality and availability.
  • Providing pharmacy services in patient care areas.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and supporting the Pharmacy Department's commitment to Total Quality principles.
  • Keeping knowledge and skills current and assisting in educating others.
  • Setting personal goals aligned with departmental objectives for quality enhancement.
  • Fostering a positive work environment through good communication, relationships, and teamwork, following hospital standards.
  • Delivering care tailored to different age groups according to Age Specific Care Guidelines.

What You Will Need

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Nice To Have (Not Required)

  • Completion of a Pharmacy Technology course preferred.
  • North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration required within 30 days of employment.
  • PTCB/NHA technician certification (CPhT) within 180 days or active enrollment in an ACPE-accredited Pharmacy School.
