Advocate Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, labeling, and inventory management. You will handle medication admissions, insurance verification, and cashiering tasks where applicable.

The role may involve nonsterile compounding, sterile IV admixture where permitted, and potential immunization certification under supervision. Strong communication and organization are essential.

Formación

• State registration or licensure as required by the state of employment.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or ExCPT within 18 months of start date.
• No prior work experience required; certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist licensed pharmacist in technical duties related to preparation and distribution of medications.
• Accurately select, prepare, and label medications for patients including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assist with medication distribution tasks and inventory control.
• Screen calls and route as needed with proper etiquette.
• Record and document medication admission histories and insurance verification.
• Perform nonsterile compounding following USP standards where applicable.
• May assist in training pharmacy technicians and extenders.
