Advocate Health Care is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to assist licensed pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, including hazardous drugs when applicable. This position requires a high school diploma or GED, state licensure/registration, and certification (CPhT or ExCPT) within 18 months.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist with preparation and distribution of medications.
• Select, prepare, and label medications including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assist with medication distribution and inventory tasks.
• Screen phone calls and route using proper etiquette.
• Perform nonsterile compounding and sterile IV admixture where applicable.
• Adhere to storage policies and complete documentation for controlled substances.
