Job summary

Mercy Hospital St Louis - Lobby Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications. The role reports to the supervising pharmacist and adheres to federal, state and local laws to ensure patient safety.

Positions available at Tech I, II and III levels with qualifications including a high school diploma, Missouri Board of Pharmacy registration, and 1 year of pharmacy experience (1 year preferred but not required).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalence required for Tech I/II/III.
• Active Missouri Board of Pharmacy registration as Pharmacy Technician or willing to apply by first day, including FBI background fingerprints.
• Experience: Tech I – 1 year preferred but not required; Tech II – 1 year required; Tech III – 3 years required; CPHT certification for Tech II/III.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications.
• Adhere to federal, state, and local laws for patient safety and care.
• Report to supervising pharmacist and maintain regulatory compliance.
