Job summary

The Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations under the supervision of a pharmacist. You will receive prescriptions, prepare and dispense medications, maintain patient profiles, and assist with inventory.

The ideal candidate holds an Oklahoma Pharmacy Technician license, with CPhT certification preferred, and experience with EHR/RPMS, Google Suite, and BD Parata Connect. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • Must hold an Oklahoma Pharmacy Technician license.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification preferred.
  • Experience with EHR/RPMS and VPL preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Align with OKCIC’s vision, mission, and core values.
  • Safety-sensitive position; marijuana license holders will not qualify.

Responsibilities

  • Receive prescriptions from patients or providers.
  • Prepare and dispense medications.
  • Maintain patient profiles.
  • Answer patient and provider phone calls.
  • Assist with inventory management.
  • Operate and maintain automated pharmacy equipment.
  • Participate in department quality improvement activities.
  • Conduct monthly medication storage area inspections.
  • Provide technical support services as deemed necessary by the Pharmacy supervisor to maintain consistency in overall Pharmacy services.

Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is hiring a pharmacy technician. The pharmacy technician will be under the supervision of a pharmacist.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Routine pharmacy functions such as receiving prescriptions from patients or providers
  • Prepare and dispense medications
  • Maintain patient profile
  • Answer patient and provider phone calls
  • Assist with inventory management
  • Operate and maintain automated pharmacy equipment
  • Participate in department quality improvement activities
  • Conduct monthly medication storage area inspections
  • Provide technical support services as deemed necessary by the Pharmacy supervisor to maintain consistency in overall Pharmacy services.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a current Oklahoma Pharmacy Technician license.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification preferred.
  • Must accurately document patient information and notes in patient charts.
  • Experience with EHR/RPMS and VPL preferred.
  • Experience with BD Parata Connect preferred.
  • Experience with Google Suite applications preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional leadership experience preferred.
