Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; pharmacy tech certification preferred.
• Immunization-certified must maintain active BLS.
• License card must be carried on duty and shown on request.
• Current Maine Pharmacy Technician license in good standing or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in medication preparation and distribution.
• Maintain accurate inventory and perform cycle counts.
• Prepare compounds and sterile preparations under pharmacist supervision.
• Process charges and assist in patient billing and dispensing.
• Ensure proper hand hygiene and follow sterile/IV room protocols.
