Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
• Demonstrates critical thinking, effective communication, decisive judgment and teamwork in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, fills, receives, delivers, stocks and restocks medication inventory and supplies for the pharmacy department and drug storage areas.
• Repackages bulk medications.
• Assist with orientation and training of new pharmacy technicians and students.
• Maintains and supports medication distribution systems and channels, including automated dispensing cabinets, code carts, trays and kits.
• Process medication charges/credits when applicable.
• Performs prescription data entry in pharmacy system when applicable.
• Prepares non-sterile compounded medications, including hazardous medications and cross trains in more advanced functions.
• Assists with customer service and patient needs, including answering telephones, managing work queues and completing medication histories.
• Completes other responsibilities as assigned in support of pharmacy operations and within the pharmacy technician scope of practice.
