Job summary

Lakeview Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to join our team in Minnesota. The technician works under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to prepare and dispense medications and to handle tasks that do not require a pharmacist, enabling pharmacists to focus on clinical activities.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, Minnesota PTR registration at hire, and must obtain CPhT/ExCPT within one year. Prior pharmacy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minnesota Pharmacy Technician Registration (PTR) required at hire/start date.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or ExCPT) within 1 year of hire/start date.
• Must follow State Board of Pharmacy guidelines for Pharmacy Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Performs activities in preparation and dispensing of medications under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Completes pharmacy functions that do not require a licensed pharmacist to allow pharmacists more time for clinical activities.
