## Pharmacy Technician IApplylocations: Fort Collins, COtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R2026105977# Job Description## Position Summary:Provides technical support to pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including counting, pouring, labeling, packaging, and drawing medications into syringes under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Assists clients, students, clinicians, and technicians by providing information regarding pharmacy procedures, prescription pricing, medication availability, and pharmacy services. Receives and processes prescription orders, performs data entry, and conducts initial screening of prescriptions and medication orders for completeness and accuracy, including verification of required signatures, dates, case numbers, patient weights, quantities, directions, addresses, and other required information. Contacts clinicians to clarify incomplete or inaccurate orders and ensures prescriptions remain current. Assists with daily billing and charge entry for client prescriptions, hospital departments, and research projects. Communicates with clients regarding prescription status, refill requests, billing, shipping, and pickup or mail-out arrangements. Answers incoming phone calls, coordinates prescription refills, and helps ensure timely, accurate, and efficient medication dispensing while providing excellent customer service. This position provides opportunities for professional growth through structured training and demonstrated competency in advanced pharmacy technician functions, including nonsterile compounding, hazardous medication and chemotherapy preparation in accordance with USP <800> standards, and automated dispensing cabinet (Pyxis) inventory management. ## Full Consideration Date:Monday, August 10, 2026, 11:59pm (MT).
