Job summary

JobRx, Inc. seeks a Pharmacy Technician for a Hybrid role supporting CFHC through remote administration and on-site coverage.

You will perform data entry, queue management, patient follow-ups, and phone support while remaining available to report onsite for coverage at CFHC pharmacy sites as needed. Qualified candidates have 1–2 years of technician experience, Florida registration, and basic life support certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Program or HS Diploma/GED with employer-provided certificate.

Responsibilities

• Be familiar with CFHC policies, goals, and comply with all regulations.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Treat patients, staff, and visitors with courtesy and respect.

• Follow safety, OSHA, and exposure control requirements.

• Manage pharmacy queues for multiple CFHC locations.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls for readiness, refills, prior authorizations, and inquiries.
• Answer and triage incoming pharmacy calls; assist with third-party billing.
• Support documentation, filing, and electronic records; collaborate with onsite staff.
• Onsite: provide in-person coverage as needed; assist with preparation, labeling, dispensing.
• Receive/store supplies and maintain inventory; clean and maintain equipment.

Title: Pharmacy Technician - Hybrid

Reports to: 340B Pharmacy Services Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY:

This hybrid position supports multiple pharmacies by providing remote administrative and operational pharmacy support, while also serving as an on‑call, in‑person pharmacy technician to provide coverage at a Central Florida Health Care (CFHC) pharmacy site when needed.

Primary responsibilities include remote patient follow-up, data entry, pharmacy queue management, and phone support. When required, the technician will report onsite to support pharmacy operations and cover technician shifts.

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Program or High School Diploma/GED and Certificate from an employer sponsored Pharmacy program.
• Florida Board of Pharmacy Registration
• Active Pharmacy Technician Licensure (National) preferred
• Active Basic Life Support certification
• 1 - 2 years pharmacy technician experience in a pharmacy preferred
• Basic Math skills
• Strong Computer literacy
• Filing and documentation skills
• Understanding of use of pharmacy equipment and workflows
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks remotely

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Be familiar with CFHC's program philosophies, goals, and objectives and comply with all CFHC policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations.

REMOTE / ADMINISTRATIVE PHARMCY SUPPORT:

1. Perform remote data entry of prescriptions and medication-related documentation.
2. Manage and work pharmacy queues for multiple CFHC pharmacy locations.
3. Conduct patient follow-up calls related to medication readiness, refills, prior authorizations, and general pharmacy inquiries.
4. Answer incoming pharmacy phone calls and appropriately triage or resolve issues.
5. Assist with third-party billing preparation and resolution as assigned.
6. Support accurate documentation, filing, and electronic record maintenance.
7. Collaborate with onsite pharmacy staff to ensure continuity of workflow and timely patient care.

ONSITE /FILL-IN PHARMACY SUPPORT:

1. Serve as an on-call pharmacy technician to provide in-person coverage at CFHC pharmacy sites as needed.
2. Assist with medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing under pharmacist supervision when onsite.
3. Receive and store incoming supplies and maintain inventory accuracy when working onsite.
4. Clean and maintain pharmacy equipment and work areas according to prescribed procedures.
5. Assist in maintaining proper drug storage, inventory, and sales records.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Requires 80% or more time spent standing/walking.
2. Independently mobile.
3. Working under tight deadlines.
4. Ability to lift weight equivalent to that required when repositioning equipment and lifting supplies.
5. Ability to adapt and function in varying environments of workload, worksites and work shifts.
6. Environmentally exposed to a variety of contagious diseases and other patient related conditions.
