Smith's Food and Drug in Taos, NM is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists and provide patient-centered service. You will assist with data entry, dispensing, and HIPAA-compliant handling of confidential information in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment.

You will be responsible for assisting with CLIA-waived screenings and non-dispensing services, while upholding safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards under state and federal laws.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills and empathy for customers.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and protecting patient privacy.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure if required by state.

Responsabilités

• Support health and wellness initiatives.
• Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Maintain a current national and/or state registration, certification, or license as required.
• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring pharmacist judgment.
• Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Support training of clerks and/or technicians.
• Compound medications according to state regulations.
• Perform post fill audits to verify prescription information.
• Support non-dispensing services through various platforms and applications.
• Complete all CLIA-waived screenings per state and federal law and company policies.
• Provide health and wellness services as allowed by regulators.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and report unsafe conditions.
• Comply with all regulations and report illegal activity when observed.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation.
