Job summary

UCHealth seeks a Pharmacy Technician for University of Colorado Hospital – Aurora, CO and Lowry Office – Aurora, CO. This onsite role supports the registered pharmacist and patients in distributive pharmacy services and vitally assists in medication dispensing.

The job includes rotating day/evening shifts, possible weekend work, and a career ladder to grow skills and pay. Minimum requirements include High School Diploma and PHATP/PHAT certifications with funding for education.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
PHATP certification from State Board of Pharmacy.
PHAT certification from State Board of Pharmacy within 18 months of hire.
If you currently have both a PHAT certification and national CPhT you may be hired into Pharmacy Tech I.

Responsibilities

Provides distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the registered pharmacist and patients.
Manage Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) to ensure unit-specific medication is safely available.
Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding and bulk medication repackaging while maintaining adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
Conduct regular audits of medication inventory to identify expired or near-expired items, ensuring prompt removal and replacement.
