Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of retail experience preferred.
• Registered as a Pharmacy Technician by the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
• Certified as a Pharmacy Technician by PTCB or NHA preferred.
• Current Florida Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist in filling prescriptions and billing.
• Enters patient information including insurance coverage in the pharmacy software.
• Submits insurance claims and follows up on rejections.
• Counts and measures medications accurately.
• Collects payments from patients and third parties and provides receipts.
• Maintains inventory and supplies in the pharmacy.
• Ensures compliance with DEA, Board of Pharmacy and AAAHC standards.
